Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and accounting systems is necessary, and experience with NetSuite is a plus. A strong understanding of GAAP and AP best practices is also required.

Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable Specialist will process vendor invoices accurately and timely, manage vendor relationships, and maintain updated invoice coding instructions. This role involves working with offshore resources to ensure efficient processing, collaborating cross-functionally for timely approvals, and ensuring all invoices have proper documentation. Responsibilities include managing vendor master data, complying with W-9 and 1099 requirements, reviewing and reconciling vendor inquiries, preparing vendor accrual reports, and performing month-end reconciliations. The specialist will also address urgent requests from stakeholders in a complete and timely manner.
