Requirements

Graduate education
5-7 years of experience in Windows Server management/SCCM
Expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) administration, including site servers, clients, distribution points, and components
Experience in patch management for Windows servers and third-party applications (Tanium experience preferable)
Skills in software deployment and packaging using SCCM/Tanium, including PowerShell scripting
Experience with Operating System Deployment (OSD) using SCCM task sequences, boot images, and driver packages (provisioning with Tanium a plus)
Proficiency in Windows Server administration (e.g., 2012, 2016, 2019), including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Ability to monitor server performance, security logs, and system health
Understanding of security and compliance standards

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment, including site servers, clients, distribution points, and other components
Develop and implement strategies for deploying security patches and software updates for Windows servers and third-party applications
Coordinate patch testing, evaluation, and deployment schedules to minimize business disruption and align with maintenance windows
Troubleshoot patch-related issues and ensure high patch compliance across the server fleet
Create, test, and deploy software applications and packages to servers via SCCM/Tanium
Develop custom software packages and scripts using languages like PowerShell for automated deployments
Manage and automate the deployment of Windows server operating systems using SCCM task sequences, boot images, and driver packages
Perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows Server operating systems
Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Monitor server performance, security logs, and overall system health
Ensure server configurations meet organizational security policies and compliance standards
Collaborate with security teams to prioritize critical vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions
Generate custom and regular reports on patch compliance, software inventory, and system health
Maintain detailed technical documentation for processes, configurations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Provide expert-level support for complex issues related to SCCM, patching, and server performance
Work with IT support and other teams to resolve incidents and fulfill requests
Research and implement new technologies or upgrades to improve the efficiency and quality of system management services
Stay up to date with SCCM/Tanium trends and new features, such as integration with Intune or Azure Update Manager and Autonomous Endpoint Management with Tanium
