Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting (required); CPA certification (strongly preferred)
Minimum of 3-5+ years of combined experience in Public and Private Accounting (strongly preferred)
Advanced analytical and Excel skills (essential)
Experience with ERP and Expense systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

Act as a major contributor in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
Review, investigate, and reconcile daily Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including vendor wires and payment adjustments; perform analysis on key terms, categories, and resolve purchase order (PO) to invoice discrepancies
Manage accrual processes for recurring and non-recurring expenses, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Maintain and reconcile prepaid expense schedules, ensuring proper amortization and documentation
Review and analyze operating expenses (OPEX) to ensure proper classification, coding, and reporting consistency across entities
Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline close and reporting cycles
Provide proactive support and execute ad hoc projects as directed by management
Identify and troubleshoot issues in the way of efficient and effective processes to meet corporate and departmental goals; assist and improve various aspects of the general accounting practice
