Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting (required); CPA certification (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of combined experience in Public and Private Accounting (strongly preferred)
  • Advanced analytical and Excel skills (essential)
  • Experience with ERP and Expense systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
  • Strong work ethic, highly detail-oriented, and precision-focused

Responsibilities

  • Act as a major contributor in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
  • Review, investigate, and reconcile daily Accounts Payable (AP) activities, including vendor wires and payment adjustments; perform analysis on key terms, categories, and resolve purchase order (PO) to invoice discrepancies
  • Manage accrual processes for recurring and non-recurring expenses, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain and reconcile prepaid expense schedules, ensuring proper amortization and documentation
  • Review and analyze operating expenses (OPEX) to ensure proper classification, coding, and reporting consistency across entities
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline close and reporting cycles
  • Provide proactive support and execute ad hoc projects as directed by management
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in the way of efficient and effective processes to meet corporate and departmental goals; assist and improve various aspects of the general accounting practice
