Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or on track is a plus)
  • 2–4+ years of accounting experience, ideally at a fast-growing tech company or public accounting firm
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting systems
  • Familiarity with SaaS billing or fintech operations is a plus
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting platforms; experience implementing or migrating systems is a plus
  • Excel/Sheets mastery: ability to build and maintain complex models, reconciliations, and reporting dashboards
  • ERP & Integrations: exposure to ERP systems or workflow tools (NetSuite, Ramp, Bill.com, Carta, etc.) and interest in optimizing processes through automation
  • Data savvy: ability to analyze large datasets, reconcile discrepancies
  • Comfortable building structure in unstructured environments, solving problems, and creating clarity in fast-moving settings
  • Comfortable collaborating across Compliance, Risk, and Engineering teams
  • Organized and proactive, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Customer Invoicing: Manage billing cycles and ensure accurate, timely invoicing
  • Vendor Payments: Oversee accounts payable and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Cash Management: Monitor bank accounts, reconciliations, and day-to-day treasury functions
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate day-to-day records of all financial transactions, ensuring clean ledgers and reconciliations for real-time visibility
  • Monthly Close: Lead the preparation and accuracy of monthly financial closes
  • Compliance & Taxes: Partner with external tax accountants on annual returns and filings; prep and manage annual tax obligations and reporting
  • Fundraising Support: Prepare financial materials and data packages for investors and board presentations
  • Process Building: Identify gaps and implement scalable procedures to support rapid growth
