Requirements

  • 5+ years of Account Management experience in the Payments industry, ideally selling complex, technology platform solutions
  • 3+ years of experience growing and scaling accounts and building relationships with key decision makers
  • 3+ years of experience with the following Sales Tech stack: Salesforce, Looker, Gong, and Jira
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy-in at multiple levels across the organization
  • Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who can operate both collaboratively and independently
  • Technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a straightforward manner
  • Deep knowledge of disruption in the financial services industry or strong desire to learn
  • Passion for knowledge and learning to understand customers, Marqeta, technology, and the industry

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of customers to drive growth and retention
  • Provide exceptional client service and uncover revenue generating opportunities (upsell, cross-sell, etc.)
  • Proactively uncover business needs of customers and provide viable solutions
  • Chart paths to ambitious growth targets, model, plan, and execute based on data
  • Support cross-functional efforts, connect people and ideas to drive innovation and revenue growth
  • Ensure partnerships and programs run smoothly and successfully
  • Identify opportunities to drive business and process improvements
  • Develop and deliver high-impact presentations (QBRs, Executive Briefing Decks, etc.)
  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify macro, business, technology, and pipeline trends for key customers
