This role is for a resourceful, ambitious, and autonomous sales specialist with a strong understanding of SaaS or Payments, to contribute to growth plans in the Americas. The primary focus will be converting qualified leads into customers by engaging with a diverse range of companies exploring e-commerce solutions. This role is critical in defining, driving, and achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build pipeline from leads generated by Business Development Representatives and Marketing, as well as self-sourced opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, conducting demos, and closing deals.
  • Master Paddle’s product, understand the industry, and articulate Paddle’s value proposition to CTOs, Heads of Product, and CEOs.
  • Collaborate with management and across departments (Marketing, Product, Success) to determine effective sales approaches.
  • Identify product flaws in Paddle and competitors' offerings to inform sales techniques and product roadmap.
  • Participate in regular Account Executive sales training to refine skills and develop as an industry thought leader.
  • Mentor new Account Executives during their onboarding process.

Requirements

  • Extensive closing experience in a software or SaaS business, managing multi-threaded sales processes and enterprise deals.
  • Experience with consultative, value-based selling and a proven track record of exceeding quota.
  • Experience selling highly technical products/services.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with prospective clients via in-person, phone, and email.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, thriving on solving complex challenges and contributing to a fast-growing company.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in the payments space or selling B2B SaaS.
  • Prior experience at a growth-stage Internet/software company.
  • Experience selling to technical individuals (CTOs, Heads of Product, Technical Founders).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce providers (e.g., Stripe, Braintree, PayPal, Cleverbridge) and subscription services (e.g., Chargebee, Zuora, Recurly).
  • Ability to operate in an unstructured, self-starting environment.
