Requirements

  • At least 9 years working in PR
  • Managed a team with direct oversight for at least 4 years
  • Demonstrated success in securing top-tier press placements that impact the client’s bottom line
  • Extensive media network
  • Ability to navigate financial stakeholders, thought leaders, and media
  • Strategic partner with internal and external stakeholders; ability to think outside the box for insightful and impactful media moments
  • Strong writer – persuasive, concise, creative, and quick
  • Strategic thinker who brings new ideas and loves brainstorming

  • Curious, excellent writing skills, learn quickly, handle variety of clients (high-growth startups to established brands across hardware, creativity, gaming, VR, fintech, healthtech, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing comprehensive integrated media and communications strategies
  • Producing clear, persuasive content, including messaging, media pitches, event submissions, awards submissions, and more to tell client stories
  • Managing complex client issues and providing thoughtful counsel through stressful situations
  • Leading client accounts
  • Contributing to business development, including new business and organic growth with existing clients
  • Coordinating with other discipline experts (e.g., social media, paid media, design, crisis, brand integration, talent integration) as needed
  • Mentoring junior staff, motivating and coaching team members; managing up to senior staff and providing feedback to drive efficiency
  • Responding to client requests efficiently
  • Supporting administration of accounts including budget trackers, contracts, and activity reports
  • Counseling clients, providing fresh ideas, motivating the team, ensuring goals are met, and generating results through pitching (especially in consumer, lifestyle, and technology publications)
