Candidates should possess a deep understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities. A proactive mindset is essential, along with a track record of delivering scalable solutions in real-world projects. Expertise in the security of cloud platforms such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure, particularly in securing multi-cloud networks, is required. Familiarity with container security, orchestration security, and authentication/authorization is expected. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts, are necessary.
The Security Engineer will design and implement scalable systems and controls to secure infrastructure and collaborate with engineering and security teams to deploy security enhancements across infrastructure. They will deliver key projects to enhance security operations, take a generalist approach to building security controls, and build high-trust partnerships with colleagues across the organization. This role involves hands-on engineering, infrastructure security, and automation to support OpenAI’s mission.
