Requirements

1-3 years of experience in healthcare IT, with some experience supporting Epic environments and upgrades
Demonstrated experience with Epic software, including environment management, build tracking, and change control processes using tools like Data Courier and Content Management
Relevant Epic certifications (e.g., Data Courier, Bridges) preferred; ITIL certification preferred
Strong self-directed learning, multi-tasking, organizational, communication, and IT project management skills
Professional attitude, communication style, and presence
Ability to integrate into multiple work teams
Understanding of technological advances and innovations in the healthcare industry

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple Epic environments (production, disaster recovery, training, testing)
Participate in planning, coordination, and execution of Epic updates (SU), version upgrades, and regular maintenance
Implement and ensure adherence to change control processes for the Epic system, including build migration using Data Courier and Content Management tools
Organize key activities including environment refreshes and data migrations
Serve as a liaison between Epic application teams, infrastructure teams, third-party hosting vendors, and Epic representatives
Host and facilitate meetings for the Change Control Board and other workgroups to ensure alignment and communication
Draft, prepare, and disseminate structured communications to technical teams and end-users regarding changes, downtimes, and environment activities
Participate in healthy vendor relationships and serve as a point of contact for technical issues and inquiries
Maintain documentation for environment versions, patch levels, and maintenance schedules in systems like Atlassian Confluence
Monitor Epic system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Data Courier and Content Management
Analyze and act on Patient Safety Escalations (PSE), Care Concern Bulletins (CCB), and Nova documentation from Epic
Collaborate with QA teams on application and integrated testing for system upgrades
Participate in planning and testing of downtime and disaster recovery procedures
Promote individual professional growth and development
