Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in a security engineering role. Strong knowledge of security protocols, standards, and best practices is required, as is familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and anti-virus software. Experience with security assessments and risk management is also necessary, alongside excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
The Security Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing effective security systems and protocols, conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, monitoring for security breaches and responding to incidents as they occur, collaborating with IT teams to enhance security measures, developing and delivering security training programs for employees, staying informed about the latest security trends and threats, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and preparing documentation related to security incidents, policies, and procedures.
