Requirements

Passion for cooking, hospitality, and teamwork
Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with associates and customers
Physical ability to set up/break down classes, prep ingredients, clean workstations, handle dishes/equipment, restock supplies, and maintain kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety standards, local health codes, sanitation regulations, and alcohol handling compliance (including age restrictions)
Adherence to wage/hour laws, company policies, and SOPs
Expertise in products through training and independent learning

Responsibilities

Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational customer experiences to inspire repeat visits and loyalty
Maintain product expertise via training and additional resources
Lead a customer-focused culture in kitchen and retail areas for exceptional experiences
Assist chefs with class execution to drive repeat visits and positive feedback
Contribute to class revenue goals through high enrollment, reviews, and guest returns
Meet or exceed monthly sales goals (measured by sales volume, transaction value, conversion rates)
Assist in class setup/breakdown: organize mise en place, prep ingredients, clean workstations
Clean and sanitize dishes/equipment promptly
Restock, organize, and maintain kitchen supplies/tools
Ensure compliance with food safety, health codes, sanitation, and alcohol regulations
Handle tools, ingredients, equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate inventory, minimize shrink, control expenses
Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and address maintenance needs
Accurately record time worked per policy
Model adherence to all company policies and SOPs
