Requirements

  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder)
  • Technically deep expertise in AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, APIs
  • Experienced with Marketing Cloud modules (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Mobile Studio, CloudPages)
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Availability to work UK hours (must be available to work in US shift / overlap with US teams)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SFMC implementations: requirement workshops, solution design, development, testing, deployment and handover
  • Design data models (Data Extensions, Contact model, data retention), build ETL/ingest patterns (SFTP / API / middleware), and author SQL query activities and Automation Studio workflows
  • Configure and develop Journeys (Journey Builder), event-driven sends, transactional APIs, and CloudPages for landing pages and microsites
  • Build responsive email templates and dynamic content using Content Builder, AMPscript and SSJS; manage message personalization and segmentation
  • Implement Marketing Cloud Connect with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud; design synchronization strategies and data flows
  • Set up deliverability foundations: domain configuration, SPF/DKIM, IP provisioning and warm-up plans, DMARC considerations, suppression lists and deliverability monitoring
  • Manage deployments and release processes (packaging, version control, deployment checklists, rollback plans)
  • Create runbooks, operational documentation and provide knowledge transfer to client teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
  • Support sales with technical qualification calls, architecture diagrams, solution decks and cost estimates
  • Build rapid POCs and demo environments to showcase capabilities and shorten sales cycles
  • Author technical responses for RFPs and SOWs and provide effort estimates
  • Prepare sample templates, reusable component libraries and reference implementation guides for proposals
  • Collaborate with go-to-market to create collateral (capability decks, playbooks, case studies) that highlight SFMC expertise
