Sales Engineer

Candidates should have sales engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience such as analytics, data science, or data engineering. Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences are required, along with an understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology. Hands-on experience with SQL and the ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake’s solutions are essential. Customer-facing skills to effectively communicate our vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences, both written and verbal, are necessary. Fluency in the German language, both written and spoken, is required.
The Sales Engineer will work directly with the account sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs and strategize on support during evaluations. They will present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors, demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, and create technical champions in accounts to drive deals. The role involves maintaining a deep understanding of competitive technologies, collaborating with other sales engineers, and working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products. Additionally, they will represent Snowflake at industry or customer events and collaborate with ecosystem partners to build joint architectures.
