Candidates must have demonstrable ability in building and closing their own pipeline within enterprise accounts, with at least 4 years of closing experience in technology sales and a proven track record of exceeding annual targets. The role requires the ability to understand complex technical concepts, develop them into a consultative sale, and possess excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. Candidates should also have the diligence and organizational skills for long sales cycles, the ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, a passion for inclusivity, and experience with SQL or a willingness to learn. Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, open-sourced software, or dbt is a plus. This position is located in Germany.
The Sales Director will be responsible for growing and managing the enterprise customer base in Germany, identifying new business opportunities with prospects, and managing growth opportunities within existing clients. This includes building, managing, and closing a pipeline of companies that can benefit from the dbt Cloud offering, deepening the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts, and engaging with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to optimize reach in the region. The role also involves leading and contributing to team projects to develop the sales process and working with product teams to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap.
