The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in identifying and creating new qualified opportunities for our senior sales team. This position involves managing inbound leads from various marketing campaigns and sponsored events. Our SDR team is vital to our revenue organization and will drive the company's future growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, coupled with a strong work ethic, self-discipline, and excellent time management skills. Beyond generating new business, responsibilities include maintaining SFDC and Outreach hygiene, managing the daily pipeline to ensure all MQLs are addressed, and collaborating with marketing on lead targeting. This role offers significant career development and growth opportunities for high performers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring a world-class solution to market and serve as the initial point of contact for AuditBoard.
  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel AuditBoard’s growth.
  • Discover and engage new leads using tools such as Outreach, Qualified, Orum, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and others.
  • Manage your lead pipeline, meet target numbers, and maintain opportunity hygiene.
  • Support marketing efforts by assisting in demand-generation campaigns.
  • Achieve or exceed weekly and monthly metrics, including sales activities, opportunity generation, qualified leads, and new contacts prospected.

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) is required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of prior inbound/outbound sales experience within a B2B SaaS environment is required.
  • Skills: Demonstrated cold calling and LinkedIn prospecting skills are required.
  • Preferred: Audit or Accounting background is preferred.
  • Environment: Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy, and ever-changing environment.
  • Attitude: Possess a "go-getter" attitude; strive to turn "No!" into "Yes!".
  • Coachability: Be open to feedback and direction for learning and growth.
  • Tool Proficiency: Confidence using platforms like Salesforce, LinkedIn, Orum, and Outreach is beneficial. Training will be provided for those new to these tools.
  • Development: Committed to lifelong learning and continuous personal and professional development.
  • Communication: Friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful, and empathetic in professional communication. Ability to think on your feet and convey knowledge effectively.
