Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably within a food processing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and ergonomic principles is required, along with the ability to interpret and apply relevant safety standards.
The Safety Manager will formulate and drive a proactive local safety strategy, participate in the development of a visionary safety framework, contribute to efforts aimed at eliminating safety issues, facilitate the development of a safety culture, direct safety programs site-wide, recommend and implement new initiatives to minimize company losses due to accidents, measure the effectiveness of safety programs, maintain OSHA files, inspect machinery and equipment, report potential violations, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
