Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and design technicians
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior-level engineers and team members for professional development
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment
  • Serve as project manager for INDOT and local agency roadway design projects
  • Oversee and participate in project execution from initiation to completion
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Perform quality checks on work performed by project team members
  • Provide leadership in planning, design, and execution of major projects
  • Prepare project documents and designs, conduct analyses, interpret data, and coordinate engineering work
  • Review and approve project deliverables, including drawings and specifications
  • Serve as a technical expert in Roadway design
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • Maintain and enhance client relationships, ensuring high service levels, communication, and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and business development
  • Prepare proposals and/or funding applications
  • Perform other duties as opportunities arise
