Candidates should possess 8+ years of experience in event planning, retail activations, or experiential marketing, preferably in large-scale events with over 10,000 attendees, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Demonstrated success in running pop-up shops or mobile retail experiences is required, along with strong project management and organizational skills, the ability to lead multiple events across various time zones simultaneously under tight timelines, and a creative problem-solving ability with a deep understanding of how physical experiences impact brand perception. Proficiency in budgeting, contracting, purchase orders, and event management tools is also necessary, and a willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours, including approximately 5-8 weeks of global travel per year, is expected.

Responsibilities

The Retail Site Manager, Special Events will plan, implement, and lead physical Gear Stores at events from concept to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align stores with brand and event objectives, working closely with the Gear Store Merchant to ensure store design meets assortment requirements, managing budgets, vendors, and timelines, leading all aspects of vendor relationships including outreach and procurement, coordinating event logistics with the Event team, hiring, training, and leading on-site staff, tracking critical metrics and event performance, and staying current on retail trends and experiential standard processes to innovate future pop-up strategies.
