Requirements

100% ability to walk sales floor, stockrooms, and office areas during duration of shift
Ability to de-escalate incidents involving confrontation by customers exhibiting concerning behavior
Ability to conduct surveillance, detect dishonest activity, and investigate theft (internal and external)
Knowledge of company loss prevention standards, operational processes, and safety regulations

Responsibilities

Mitigate and reduce losses through deterrence of external theft and execution of operational programs
Model customer engagement behaviors to detect and deter shoplifters while providing service to customers
Support, promote, and demonstrate company values related to athlete engagement
Detect, investigate, and document Organized Retail Crime and other violations, including networking with law enforcement and creating case files
Proactively monitor controls and conduct surveillance to identify dishonest or shoplifting activity
Routinely walk stockrooms and employee areas to ensure compliance and identify internal theft signs
Complete detailed incident reports in LPMS for recoveries, shoplifting, and grab & go activity
Network with retail and government resources to address organized retail crime, including prosecution
Train all store associates and managers on Loss Prevention and Core Operational programs
Conduct regular reviews of operational processes (inventory movement, cash office, Known Loss Reporting) and develop improvement tactics
Train and validate inventory movement processes (TIME, claims, omni-channel fulfillment, adjustments)
Analyze key metrics to identify deficiencies and financial risks, and develop improvement tactics
Assist with store Loss Prevention assessments in partnership with LP Director-Specialty
Ensure compliance with physical building security (key control, alarm tests, call lists)
Ensure safety and security of associates, customers, and property per local regulations, including off-site locations
Conduct MES sweeps, Fitting Room checks, and safety certifications as needed
Complete or assist with all store and department safety certifications (e.g., monthly, rock wall, customer service)
Identify and correct safety concerns with rock wall and climbing equipment
Ensure all necessary licenses and permits are up to date and coordinate renewals
Function as store safety committee leader and complete required documentation
Review safety trends and developments
