Based on the location of the House of Sport, submit relevant state mandated clearances to supervise minors (if required)

Responsibilities

Assemble, maintain, repair, and inspect action sports equipment (including bikes and snow equipment) in accordance with company and vendor standards
Perform bike services: minor to advanced repairs, replacing parts, fitting accessories (e.g., lights, pannier racks, cycle computers), routine safety checks, cleaning, degreasing, and lubricating bicycles and components
Handle snow equipment services: base cleaning, sharpening, waxing, brushing, polishing, preparation, detuning tips/tails
Diagnose faults, damage, and wear; provide accurate estimates to athletes and educate them on essential or recommended repairs
Assemble new equipment and partner with lead to perform quality checks before handing off to the explorer
Understand athlete behavior, assess needs, and recommend products/services
Support company standards of selling and customer service: greet and acknowledge every athlete, maintain solid product knowledge, provide a friendly environment
Assist and recommend athletes with the purchase of accessories
Be fully trained in sales and register functionality to deliver elevated athlete experiences
Identify and inform management of ways to improve shop workflow, productivity, and service quality
Preserve complete and accurate shop records and maintain record-keeping systems
Perform all other tasks assigned by management
