Requirements

  • Fully trained in sales and register functionality
  • Skilled in building, maintenance, and repair of all types of equipment from entry level to high end, including bikes (minor repairs, flat tires, parts replacement, accessories fitting, safety checks, cleaning, degreasing, lubricating) and snow equipment (base cleaning, sharpening, waxing, brushing, polishing, detuning)
  • Ability to diagnose faults, damage, and wear to provide accurate estimates and educate athletes
  • Leadership competencies: Ensures Accountability, Customer-Focus, Collaborative, Instills Trust, Decision-Quality/Decision-Making

Responsibilities

  • Operate the store’s service department, including scheduling and maintenance to maintain high quality, safety standards, and extraordinary service
  • Preserve complete and accurate shop records and maintain record-keeping systems
  • Schedule and monitor production and throughput of shop work to meet customer demand
  • Complete post-accident inspections and reports as necessary
  • Own scheduling and inspection/repair process for operations to ensure equipment availability
  • Assist with maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, secure, and safe work environment
  • Properly utilize company systems to check equipment in and out
  • Partner with the Community Team to promote equipment service offerings
  • Lead the shop team in all services, assemble new equipment, and perform quality checks
  • Assist and educate athletes with purchases, including usage and maintenance of equipment and accessories
  • Support company standards of selling and customer service by greeting athletes, maintaining product knowledge, and contributing to sales results
  • Work with management to build, train, and certify a team of Technicians
  • Handle risk by ensuring shop employees are trained, certified, and meet vendor quality/safety specs
  • Train and mentor new hires by sharing experience, knowledge, best practices, and providing timely feedback
