Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience translating and reviewing content in Legal, Marketing, Support, Product, Product/Service
  • Proficient in all areas of expertise: Legal, Marketing, Support, Product, Product/Service
  • Well-versed in various translation & terminology tools
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Native fluency in Korean
  • Degree in linguistics, translation or equivalent experience
  • Able to follow instructions, such as character restrictions
  • Able to communicate effectively the rationale behind translation skills
  • Able to both translate and review
  • Able to do machine translation post-editing
  • Available to work within PST business hours (9:00–17:00)
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor scenario (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Act as Language Lead Backup for the main Korean Language Lead, stepping in when OoO or to share workload
  • Perform full linguistic review and quality assurance, ensuring content meets standards and client guidelines
  • Act as intermediary between the client (and third party reviewers) and Welocalize linguists
  • Maintain overall quality under the 97% fail rate
  • Carry out daily follow-up of all LQE results, passed and failed
  • Gather all LQE changes and share with all linguists in the account
  • Analyze deliverables by linguists, determine issues, and implement actions for improvement
  • Support teams in the review process to maintain fail rate below 97%
  • Support linguists in understanding corrections and clarify with the client where needed
  • Support linguists in the arbitration process
  • Support linguists with questions during production and escalate to client/Welocalize as needed
  • Identify challenging products/contents or underperforming linguists and recommend reallocations
  • Highlight workload issues and provide solutions for Welocalize Language Services team
  • Collect root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action plans, and develop improvement plans
  • Put training materials together and conduct training sessions with linguists
  • Organize regular calls with reviewers/LS to discuss corrections, requirements; document and follow up
  • Support Welocalize in identifying and evaluating potential new candidates
