Requirements

  • Expertise in electronic ensembles and sub-ensembles with minimal externalized activities
  • Knowledge of technologies/architectures related to missile/system equipment evolution or standard technology-based developments
  • Ability to act as Design Authority for equipment or sub-systems
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team management
  • Familiarity with missile/system architectures, production constraints, and industrial tools (processes, means, documentation)
  • Understanding of project parameters negotiation (technical specs, planning, costs, development logic) with RMO and project teams
  • Competence in managing technical proposals, costings, and competitive argumentation from tender phase

Responsibilities

  • Participate in elaborating technical proposals and costs for development and series production of electronic ensembles/sub-ensembles (from tender phase), produce argumentation for winning bids against external competitors
  • Establish definition dossiers and associated justification dossiers as Design Authority
  • Co-specify and negotiate project parameters (technical specifications, planning, cost objectives, development logic) mainly with RMO and other project team representatives
  • Guarantee equipment architecture and performance, considering system architecture and production constraints, on architect's proposal
  • Make best technological, calendar, and financial choices in link with RMO
  • Realize or pilot responsible activities via multidisciplinary team
  • Establish or have established preliminary and detailed projects for structures, electronics layout, and design
  • Ensure setup and validation of industrial tool (process, means, documentation) for series production, coherent with definition activities, or ensure coherence between definition and industrialization/series production activities
  • Launch or have launched development prototypes per development plan and pronounce their acceptance
  • Treat or have treated technical evolution dossiers and manufacturing non-conformities within defined deadlines
  • Present supplies for acceptance to the ordering party/specifier (RMO/RIV)
  • Relay product policies, GMA/GSA, and ATENA
  • Participate in building workload plan in project domain (notified affairs), manage team workload/resource adequacy
  • Elaborate subsystem management plan and CCTP as needed
  • Coordinate resources for definition, integration, validation/verification, qualification, and series production of sub-system
  • Manage budgets (determine costs to completion, establish and negotiate additional budget requests), risks, hard points
