Candidates must hold a graduate degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program, and be registered or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). They must also possess a current RCP license in the state of practice and the state where the patient is located at the time of service, along with current licensure in all states of practice. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and electronic hand held devices.
The Respiratory Therapist Telehealth will provide Telehealth instruction to patients and caregivers on equipment and procedures, conduct virtual follow-ups, ensure patients can operate equipment, prepare and maintain patient records, consult with physicians, participate in ongoing education, assist with patient scheduling, and perform other duties as required.
