Ability to safely load waste, carry bags and containers to the vehicle for disposal
Capability to direct the Driver from the ground to assist in maneuvering the vehicle
Knowledge of operating packing mechanisms, levers, and handles to activate lifting and loading
Ability to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues

Capacity to clean vehicle, packer blade, hopper, truck body, and work areas

Ride on the vehicle and assist the Driver in providing prompt, courteous waste removal services on a designated residential route
Operate packing mechanism and various levers/handles to activate lifting and loading
Clean waste from packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip; spray and clean hopper and truck if applicable
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle per company policy; report safety issues
Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely and professional route servicing
Continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste
Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards and policies
Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for timely customer servicing
Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Help maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, route, and work area
