Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong preference for JNCIS-Sec and JNCIA-MistAI certifications. Experience in providing in-depth design and technical support for Network Security Products, particularly Juniper Security products, is required. Familiarity with Juniper Networks Platforms such as branch SRX, EX, MX, and Mist Cloud/APs, along with expertise in security platforms, routing and switching protocols, and the Mist cloud platform, is essential.

Responsibilities

The Resident Engineer will act as the primary Juniper technical expert for Verizon Managed Services accounts, providing advanced troubleshooting support for Juniper hardware and Junos OS software. Responsibilities include investigating and resolving complex network issues, collaborating with Juniper TAC and engineering teams, and assisting with network planning, architecture, and design. The role involves guiding the deployment of new Juniper solutions, reviewing and validating designs and configuration changes, participating in network changes, and maintaining network documentation. Additionally, the Resident Engineer will serve as a trusted Juniper advisor, communicating technical findings, providing status reports and recommendations, mentoring Verizon teams, documenting best practices, and training customer support personnel.
