Requirements

Candidates must possess an MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a related technical field, with exceptional Bachelor’s students also being considered. Prior research experience, demonstrated through internships, work experience, research projects, and publications at top machine learning, computer vision, and robotics conferences, is required. Strong quantitative skills, including coursework in linear algebra, calculus, and probability, are necessary, along with proficiency in reading and coding in Python.

Responsibilities

As a Research Scientist, you will design and execute research agendas focused on deep-learning based motion planning for self-driving trucks, leveraging state-of-the-art robotics and machine learning techniques. You will contribute to the development of scalable planning solutions, support the deployment of research findings into production systems, and collaborate closely with platform teams. Furthermore, you will stay current with advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and self-driving technologies, champion engineering excellence through high-quality code, and submit and publish research externally at leading conferences.
