Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience with data analysis/automation (or ability to develop further experience in) R, R Markdown, Python, git, LaTeX, Bash/Shell/Batch scripting, Docker, VS Code, GitHub, etc
  • Experience with ANS 15.8 research and test reactor QA program implementation and execution strongly preferred
  • Preferred experience working with high temperature salt systems or other hazardous processes, and implementing appropriate safety and process controls
  • Preferred experience in hardware research and development
  • Preferred experience in a hardware production environment for established technologies
  • Preferred experience with commercial grade acceptance processes (nuclear commercial grade dedication, commercial off-the-shelf procurement and MIL-SPEC, or similar)
  • Proven team player with excellent verbal and written communication/presentation
  • Ability to work with highly collaborative team
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others
  • Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Kairos teams responsible for development and implementation of Kairos Power’s ANS 15.8 QA program, including design control, test control, records management, training, internal assessments, and supplier evaluation
  • Assist in QA program development and implementation through direct contributions and through coaching/training other responsible members of the Kairos team
  • Provide cross-functional guidance across multiple teams to enable innovative approaches to meeting quality requirements during the design, procurement, build, and operational phases of reactor projects
  • Capture lessons learned from the technology development design-build-test cycles by writing Operating Experience narratives, coaching/mentoring others to prepare narratives, and participating in cause analysis
  • Develop technology insights through hands-on experience in hardware build and test operations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
