Responsibilities

  • Break news on capital flows, private equity executive moves, and other big/small scoops
  • Conduct exclusive interviews with corporate, banking, private equity executives, and regional fund managers
  • Source and deliver scoops in private markets and energy news
  • Contribute to daily global news report by identifying important, forward-looking details from regional companies, central banks, and business entities, and turning them into informative, punchy headlines and short articles in English
  • Analyze news quickly and explain signals to investors, including short quick-fire analysis, longer-form articles, and expansive thematic items
  • Tap existing sourcing or build sourcing to break news
  • Exercise exceptional news judgment to identify important disclosed news for professional audiences, prioritize, summarize into smart briefs, and provide follow-up analysis
  • Recognize and respond to core audiences for Dow Jones Newswires and their needs
  • Collaborate with reporters and editors from Dow Jones Newswires, The Wall Street Journal, other Dow Jones colleagues, and those in other bureaus/regions
  • Communicate precisely and respectfully
  • Uphold Dow Jones standards and ethics
