Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
0-2 years’ relevant experience required
Basic computer operation and data entry skills
Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driver’s license preferred
Previous production experience preferred
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (7:00-7:00) in a 24x7 facility, including weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule
Must be flexible to work either day or night shift based on business needs
Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Must tolerate frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions, dust, fumes, noise, and potentially hazardous materials
Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
Works with close supervision

Responsibilities

Perform processing functions in the cook, distillation, energy center and/or distributed control system (DCS) areas of ethanol production with assistance
Perform activities relating to processing functions such as corn grinding and cook operations, yeast and fermentation quality control, yeast, distillation, evaporation, dryer and boiler operations
Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw materials inputs as directed to ensure the optimal efficiency in the production process
Perform general product sampling, lab testing, document results, and report findings to crew leadership and/or laboratory personnel
Maintain documentation and record key production data as directed
Operate various types of mobile equipment
Perform general housekeeping tasks
Complete all responsibilities in compliance with all safety protocols, policies, procedures and consistent with the spirit and philosophy of The Andersons’ Statement of Principles
