2 years’ progress toward a bachelor’s degree in chemical and/or mechanical engineering (Junior standing)
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Strong communication, computer, problem-solving, research, and time management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds
Ability to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 50 feet
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures, including dust, fumes, and noise
Responsibilities
Act as a team member in supporting engineering projects and activities, including collecting data for program managers, coordinating specific tasks, and applying principles of science, technology, and mathematics to develop creative solutions
Expedite the in-house design of engineering projects and specifications of functional requirements, demonstrating increasing levels of ownership and responsibility
Work closely with operations and engineering staff, as well as contractors/vendors, in planning and supporting engineering activities/projects, including conducting structural assessments, data collection, drafting, gauging bids/estimates, and AutoCAD assignments
Perform systems and information upkeep, and manage administrative duties such as drawings scanning, document handling and storage, and preparation of technical reports and summaries
Work within clearly defined standard operating procedures or scientific methods, adhere to quality guidelines, and work with close supervision
Complete all responsibilities in compliance with safety protocols, policies, and procedures
