We are dedicated to creating result-focused strategies and content to drive SEO, social engagement, and leads for our clients. We continuously build expertise across new media formats, including video, blogs, infographics, and web design. This is a remote, full-time contractor position open to candidates across South Africa.

Job Description

Brafton Content Writers are responsible for producing strong, creative content for client marketing campaigns. Direct client communication is expected. Viable candidates must be able to create white papers, case studies, landing pages, infographic outlines, video blog scripts, and long-form articles based on approved briefs. Our clients are primarily B2B, spanning industries such as technology, health, finance, business, education, and marketing. Confidence in writing and researching within these sectors, and meeting deadlines, is essential.

Essential Job Functions

• Research, create, and deliver high-quality content to clients according to specified deadlines.
• Edit the work of peers using Brafton’s editing marks and processes.
• Collaborate with account management to ensure client goals are achieved.
• Attend project, client, and team meetings virtually.
• Track writing and editing production work daily in the in-house project management system.
• Brainstorm and propose monthly topics for clients based on their creative brief and/or industry.
• Communicate directly with clients.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, or Communications strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant content marketing industry writing experience.
• Excellent writing and editing skills. Relevant writing clips are strongly preferred.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Knowledge of AP (Associated Press) style.
• Understanding of SEO keywords and concepts behind branded writing.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a valuable team member.
• Creative mindset regarding client briefs and marketing goals.
• Strong phone presence for client calls and interviews.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments, including account management, sales, social media, video, and design.

Company Information

Brafton is a 100% remote-focused company, well-established in remote work practices prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring agility and adaptability. While your immediate supervisor will be based in the Boston Office (US), you will operate day-to-day within your local time zone. Contractors must be set up to operate effectively from their own workspace and be comfortable with pure remote/home-based working. Contractors must provide their own industry-related hardware.
