Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Core Banking - Remittance systems (Junior L2 level)
  • Solid understanding of banking payment flows, integration with external systems, and remittance operations (SWIFT Telegraphic Transfers, Demand Drafts, Cashier's Orders, Local RTGS, GIRO, real-time payments like FAST, PayNow)
  • Proficiency in RPG and COBOL languages
  • Experience with SQL/DB2
  • Knowledge of AS400 platform and REM & ROS (Payments/Remittance Systems)
  • Familiarity with integration/messaging: MQ, SFTP, Direct Connect
  • Experience with version control/change management: Aldon
  • Understanding of batch job processing and basic troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Core Banking remittance applications (REM & ROS) on AS400
  • Work with RPG and COBOL to implement business logic, system integrations, and batch processes
  • Collaborate with business analysts and operations teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Perform system testing, defect fixing, and production support for remittance-related modules
  • Manage code versions and deployments using Aldon and ensure adherence to release processes
  • Integrate with external payment systems and channels via SFTP, MQ, and Direct Connect interfaces
  • Support implementation of SWIFT and local payment schemes (Telegraphic Transfer, RTGS, GIRO, FAST, PayNow)
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
