Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Ability to work per diem on an as-needed basis, Monday through Friday during the day (no weekends)
Competency with emergency operational procedures, including CPR and emergency measures
Competency in administering medications, IV moderate sedation, IV insertion, point-of-care laboratory testing, and scrub technologist duties maintaining sterile technique
Knowledge of regulatory requirements, FVC/FMCNA policies, and compliance programs
Ability to operate facility equipment (e.g., patient monitors, defibrillators, medical recording devices, sterilizers, computers)

Responsibilities

Support and drive FVC quality standards through regulatory compliance, Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and facility action plans
Accountable for outstanding patient care quality, addressing adverse events, maintaining medical records integrity, and ensuring environmental safety
Obtain medical history, perform nursing assessments, educate patients/families on post-procedure care, monitor patients pre/during/post-procedure (including sedation and contrast reactions)
Act as patient resource, communicate issues to management, complete accurate documentation from admission to discharge, confirm orders/consents/lab work
Administer medications/IV sedation per physician orders, assist physician during procedures as scrub technologist, transport patients, perform lab testing/IV insertion
Provide regular communication with physicians, participate in CQI meetings, assist with instruments/equipment verification and adverse event reporting
Operate equipment safely, inspect equipment, maintain facility integrity, and perform additional tasks as designated by physician in compliance with regulations
