Registered Nurse (RN) - active license from the Board of Nursing in the state of practice upon hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work 72 hours/2 weeks - 12 hour rotating day/night shifts including every 3rd weekend/holiday/call
Preferred: 1-3 years of experience

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans, coordinating with healthcare providers, and offering support to patients, families, and friends
Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting conditions and status, conferring with family and friends, establishing diagnoses, objectives, interventions, schedules, and timetables
Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients, families, and friends on conditions, medications, and self-care skills, answering questions, and providing resources
Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changes, re-evaluating objectives, and modifying care plans
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by following infection-control policies, medication procedures, controlled substance regulations, organization standards, policies, and legal regulations; alerting others to concerns
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Maintain patient care equipment by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing/expediting orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items
Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership
