Registered Nurse (RN) - active license in the state of practice (Board of Nursing) upon hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends (72hrs/2wks, every 3rd weekend/holiday)
Preferred: 1-3 years experience working in a clinical environment

Responsibilities

Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnosis, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans, coordinating with healthcare team, and conferring with physicians
Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting conditions, conferring with family/friends, establishing objectives and interventions
Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients/families/friends on conditions, medications, self-care, answering questions, and providing resources
Evaluates patient care by adhering to standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changes, re-evaluating objectives, and modifying care plans
Maintains safe patient care environment by following infection-control, medication administration/storage, controlled substance regulations, organizational standards, policies, and legal regulations
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Maintains patient care equipment by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Keeps patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, ordering, verifying receipt, and stocking items
Maintains competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership
