Licensed as RN to practice in the state of Iowa
BLS certified within 3 months of hire date
ACLS certified within 3 months of hire (required within 6 months per experience note)
Previous experience taking blood pressures and working with patients in rehab setting (helpful)
Rhythm and telemetry recognition experience (helpful)
Experience with EKG rhythm recognition (preferred)
Bi-lingual experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

Compiles patient information prior to admission to the program
Develops exercise prescription for each individual patient and monitors the patient during exercise
Communicates with the physician and Nurse Manager regarding patient progress
Continually evaluates the patient visually, verbally and through diagnostic procedure (i.e., blood pressure) during the cardiac rehab program
Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice through the administration and evaluation of patient care
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Provides nursing care including teaching, exercise prescription, and communication with physicians and the Cardiac Rehab Nurse Manager
