Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Maryland, skilled in nursing procedures including administration of experimental vaccines and parenteral therapeutics according to specific protocol guidance and 21 CFR 11, 50, 54, 56, 312, and 314. A Basic Life Support (BLS –CPR/AED) certification is required, along with five years of experience in clinical research coordination, expertise in FDA-regulated trials, and experience with clinical trial management systems like REDcap and Inform. The role also requires the ability to work independently and in a team, excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships. Maintenance of Certification in Clinical Research Coordination by ACRP or SoCRA is also required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and pass a background check, drug screening, and physical.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Research Coordinator III will organize and prioritize activities for phase 1, 2, and 3 clinical and operational research studies in a military clinic setting. This includes reviewing research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines, organizing research information, and selecting and observing subjects. The role involves assisting with data analysis and reporting, overseeing experiment scheduling, collecting data, and participating in the design and writing of source documents and study materials. Responsibilities also include maintaining study/test article accountability, monitoring data collection for GCP, GLP, FDA, and other guidance compliance, entering data routinely on CRFs, resolving discrepancies, and correcting records as necessary.
