This position supports field teams and clients with their annuity disbursement and policy maintenance needs. Team members work closely with financial representatives, client service specialists, and internal departments to ensure smooth transitions from accumulation to payout phases.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers a Personalized Experience: Answers client questions, provides servicing options, and assists with annuity products and services in a call center environment.
  • Resolves Inquiries and Transactions: Proficiently handles basic and intermediate (semi-complex) level calls and transactions from financial representatives and clients.
  • Problem Solving: Researches and evaluates solutions to complex problems, identifying root causes and deviations from procedures.
  • Ownership and Proactive Support: Takes ownership of calls, anticipates future issues, and avoids repeat calls or unnecessary transfers.
  • De-escalation: Effectively de-escalates client experience situations while guiding clients through complex inquiries.
  • Advocacy: Serves as a trusted advocate for financial representatives and partners with them to meet client needs.
  • Technology Adoption: Embraces new technology and advocates for website and self-service capabilities by educating clients and field.
  • Risk Assessment: Understands the risks and impacts of transactions on clients or policies.
  • Process Improvement: Drives change and embraces continuous improvement by creating processes and provisions to accommodate change.
  • Relationship Building: Fosters a professional relationship with clients to enhance brand loyalty.
  • Confidentiality: Handles phone and transactional responsibilities while adhering to strict confidentiality and privacy standards.
  • Prioritization: Adept at shifting work priorities to meet business and customer demand.

Requirements

  • Education: Associates degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensure: FINRA Licensure 6/63 or 7/63 required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years related customer service experience with proven customer service skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Advanced understanding of Investment or Income markets or products (i.e. VA, VL, VUL, Retirement, or Business markets).
    • Basic understanding of tax implications.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of calls/case load with accuracy.
    • Strong organization skills.
