Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in sales engineering for enterprise software products, with a preference for big data technology experience. A minimum of 4 years of related Sales Engineering management experience is preferred. Experience with complex, large-scale enterprise analytics deployments is essential, along with familiarity with Python and/or R. Knowledge of data storage and computing infrastructure for various data sizes (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, on-premise, and cloud), machine learning libraries and techniques, and visualization and dashboarding solutions is required. Excellent communication and public speaking skills are also necessary.
The Regional Vice President of Sales Engineering will lead a team of Sales Engineers to ensure technical success throughout the sales process. This role involves acting as the main technical point of contact for the regional VP of sales to strategize on opportunities, provide pipeline visibility, and train/coach the sales team on technical topics.
