Requirements

  • Proven underwriting experience in US Builders Risk, Inland Marine, or Construction/Property
  • Knowledge of product features, forms, regulatory environment, and risks
  • Successful record of selling products to clients
  • Deep technical expertise of Builder’s Risk
  • Strong understanding of market, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer and sales-oriented behaviors (motivated, tenacious, proactive, technically skilled)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee new and renewal production for the Builders Risk portfolio
  • Manage complex risks within the Master Builders Risk program
  • Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and make sound decisions using data and analysis
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with brokers
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning
  • Mentor and develop colleagues through leadership and training
  • Support succession planning
  • Participate in new business development, including attending broker events and building relationships
