Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, with preferred degrees in life sciences, business, or healthcare, and a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare sales experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in rare disease, orphan drug, or highly specialized sales is required, including selling high-cost products through a specialty pharmacy and coordinating with patient services. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully managing a territory is essential, along with experience selling in specialized clinics, hospitals, and academic centers.
Responsibilities
The Regional Account Manager will represent PTC’s products to medical professionals specializing in neurological diseases and/or Friedreich's Ataxia (FA) within their assigned region, handling all operational aspects of pharmaceutical sales and services. This includes generating sales, communicating product benefits, building relationships, educating healthcare staff, and identifying new opportunities for commercial and scientific growth. The role involves collaborating with internal departments and external resources, supporting regulatory compliance, and adhering to company SOPs. Responsibilities also encompass achieving sales targets, implementing marketing strategies, collaborating with various teams, developing business partnerships, identifying key treatment centers, cultivating relationships with patient advocacy groups, employing a consultative sales approach, addressing product access issues, and performing additional tasks as needed.
