As a QA Engineer, you will work on quality engineering initiatives throughout the engineering organization, collaborating with product development engineers and SREs to build automation testing practices. Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Software QA Engineer.
  • PLG Environment Experience: 2+ years of experience in a Product-Led Growth (PLG) environment.
  • Automation Testing Frameworks: Experience and good understanding of automation testing and frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, or Rspec.
  • Programming Languages: Exposure to modern backend programming languages – Java, Python, or Ruby (at least one).
  • JavaScript/TypeScript: Experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript.
  • Testing Knowledge: Expert knowledge of software testing, quality improvement, quality process, quality assurance methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience: Experience with web services, batch/extract file processing, microservice API level testing.
  • Agile Methodologies: Good experience in Agile testing methodologies and best practices.

Good to Have

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related qualification.
  • CI/CD Technologies: Modern Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment technologies and techniques.
  • Synthetic Monitoring: Synthetic Monitoring and Metrics gathering with tools like NewRelic, GCP Logging, Datadog.
  • Containerization: Familiarity with Linux Containers and Virtualization (Docker).
  • Orchestration: Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker Compose.

Preferred Skills

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and technical reasoning.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with other engineering teams.
  • Learning: Strong interest in learning new and emerging technologies.
  • Certifications: Software Testing or Quality related certification is a plus.
  • Microservices: Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Engineering Challenges: Knowledge of the challenges faced by software engineers in a modern engineering department.
