Requirements

Candidates must have solid experience in QA automation and manual testing as an individual contributor, along with a strong understanding of networking principles and HTTP protocols. The role requires the ability to read Java code and ideally write it for test development, a clear understanding of REST vs RPC architectures, HTTP verbs, and content types, and experience with performance testing tools like Locust or Azure Load Testing. Comfort using CI/CD workflows in Agile environments and strong problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail are also essential. Familiarity with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), experience with Katalon Studio or other UI-based automation tools, familiarity with lightweight GraphQL and REST APIs, and experience with test design aligning with development code are considered beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Senior QA Engineer will independently execute command-line requests using tools like curl or get, debug web page functionality including network calls and payload inspection, and design and implement automated test suites with attention to performance and parallelism. They will explain key testing concepts, diagnose platform issues, write detailed bug reports, collaborate with other QA engineers and technical leads on test strategy, adapt between API and UI-based testing, and contribute to improved automation in SAP Commerce Cloud testing areas.
