Requirements

  • Experience with bioanalytical techniques: HPLC, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, chemistry tests such as pH, appearance, absorbance, chemistry identification, moisture analysis, density, Infrared Spectroscopy (IR)
  • Incoming materials technical support knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in a high-paced laboratory environment with multiple certifications
  • Basic understanding of the Quality System, including subsystems and key processes
  • Familiarity with standards that regulate the industry
  • Ability to execute daily activities with minimal supervision
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on certifications

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the Quality system
  • Complete Quality testing as appropriate for products per procedures and review all data to determine conformance with specifications
  • Provide inputs to facilitate CAPA investigations as required
  • Own and approve testing events
  • Maintain product and testing inventory and comply with the quality system
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively within the team and management
  • Maintain accurate and complete documents and records
  • Participate in project and process improvement activities; monitor performance of testing processes, implement process improvements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Provide quality support to key processes and product development/improvement projects
  • Take a lead in the lab to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) are executed, and the lab is running efficiently
  • Support manufacturing and testing operations as required, adhering to GMPs and GLPs
  • Share quality knowledge, liaise with colleagues within team, and train others
  • Be recognized as a lead technician for key processes within work area
  • Ensure storage of samples and documents in the appropriate filing systems
  • Troubleshoot issues, apply problem-solving skills, and take appropriate actions to resolve
  • Perform activities as assigned by Quality professional/Manager and communicate resolutions
  • Undertake developmental opportunities to become the lead in Testing
  • Participate in all trainings and reviews as required on ISOtrain Learning Management System and comply with Abbott Quality System (QS) requirements
