Candidates should possess a preferred degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field with a Chemistry component, or have extensive laboratory experience. Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and Word, and demonstrated experience in manufacturing quality processes within chemicals, food, or FMCG are required. Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ISO9001, HACCP, GMP, principles of quality assurance and control, Lean Manufacturing techniques (TPM), and process validation is essential. The role also requires at least 3 years of people management experience, strong communication skills, the ability to work on initiative, and the capacity to represent information at a senior management level.
The Quality Manager will lead the plant's quality and hygiene functions, manage complaints, and oversee ISO standards. Responsibilities include ensuring daily quality compliance of production, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and meeting compliance and quality targets. Key duties involve training and motivating teams on quality and HACCP compliance, managing the site quality management system, overseeing QC activities, investigating quality deviations and complaints, managing internal audits, controlling the site laboratory, and ensuring product and process changes comply with standards. The role also includes managing incoming goods, intermediate and finished goods quality, new product introductions, and Ecolab systems like EPIC, eSprint, and GTT.
