Candidates should possess over 4 years of hands-on manual QA testing experience, including test case creation, execution, and defect management. A basic understanding of DevOps practices, experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible, and proficiency in test management tools such as TestRail or Xray are required. The role also demands excellent problem-solving and communication skills, a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, exposure to CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins or Git, familiarity with Python and shell scripting, and experience in an Agile development environment. Comfort working with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems is also necessary.
The QA/Operations Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and owning test infrastructure and test execution, including analyzing test results, responding to monitoring system alerts, and escalating issues. Key duties involve managing system OS image creation, administering lab machines (physical and virtual), and updating golden images. The role also includes investigating and troubleshooting test case failures or product crashes, tracing root causes to application compatibility or environment issues, and working with engineers to resolve problems. Failures will be escalated to product development teams if reproducible and traceable to the company's software. The engineer will also remediate endpoint systems to ensure maximum uptime of the test environment and perform manual test case execution for environment validation.
