Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree from an accredited university. A minimum of 8 years of experience in embedded software verification within a highly regulated environment is required, along with mastery of the C programming language and common test scripting languages. Experience with hard real-time systems, built-in-test, tasking and interrupts, RTOS, bare-metal development, and communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI) is necessary. A strong understanding of software configuration management and contemporary software build, integration, test, and deployment methodologies is also essential. Experience with STMicroelectronics ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers and a deep understanding of DO-178C and its supplements are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer will analyze and test the embedded software for the ALIA-250 production aircraft. Responsibilities include developing automated and manual tests for requirements-based verification of embedded software and tools, performing software analyses such as worst-case timing and memory margin, and conducting structural coverage, data coupling, and control coupling analyses. The role involves generating life cycle data compliant with DO-178C Level A, including verification cases, procedures, results, and associated documentation. Additionally, the engineer will perform and develop tests, conduct and peer review outputs, and inform and review the outputs of the software development team.
