Candidates must have 4+ years of experience testing web applications, specifically SaaS products with a focus on quality throughout the software development cycle. Experience testing in a service-oriented architecture, understanding web application architecture and troubleshooting, and exposure to automation testing tools like Cypress, WebDriver, or Playwright are required. Proficiency with Git or other source control systems, scripting languages such as Javascript or Python, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Buildkite is necessary. Experience validating API services with tools like Postman and working knowledge of Agile development methodology are essential. The role also requires experience mentoring other Engineers in testing best practices, excellent problem-solving and time management skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities. Candidates must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
The QA Engineer III will test new features and functionality within the Calendly platform, working closely with Development Engineers and Product Managers. This includes helping define user stories, refine acceptance criteria, and create automated tests. The role involves logging and monitoring errors, testing performance and load-time, and designing testing strategies for large-scale projects, including unit tests, API tests, and functional/GUI tests. Daily tasks include analyzing product requirements, architecting test plans, contributing to sprint planning, writing and executing test cases, tracking defects, providing quality metrics, collaborating on test strategies, and championing quality in focus areas. The engineer will also promote the importance of shipping high-quality code throughout the organization.
