  • Ability to clearly communicate procurement policies and strategies to engage stakeholders
  • Results-oriented mindset with commitment and execution towards annual cost reduction targets
  • Ownership to identify issues, lead improvement proposals, and contribute to mid-to-long-term organizational growth, including mentoring juniors
  • Business-level Japanese and English communication skills (for meetings, negotiations, document creation)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies considering market trends and vendor situations
  • Conduct category-specific spend analysis and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Select vendors and conclude contracts (including negotiations on payment terms, contract duration, NDA, etc.)
  • Manage the entire P2P (Procure to Pay) process and collaborate with related departments (finance, legal, business units, etc.)
  • Operate internal procurement guidelines and approval flows
  • Initiate and drive new sourcing projects and business efficiency improvements (e.g., global tools, RPA introduction)
  • Coordinate and build consensus with internal stakeholders, and communicate procurement policies
  • Commit to and execute annual cost reduction targets
  • Lead issue identification and improvement proposals
  • Contribute to mentoring juniors and the organization's mid-to-long-term growth
